The first ever NANOSMAT meeting was held in Portugal in 2005. Ever since, NANOSMAT meetings have grown rapidly and have become increasingly popular amongst researchers, scientists, academics and industrialists from all over the world. Owing to the increasing demands of delegates from USA and surrounding areas to hold a US-based NANOSMAT meeting, we are pleased to launch and host NANOSMAT on US soil. The inaugural meeting will be held in Tampa, Florida during 27-30 March 2012. This meeting will be held every year during Spring in USA.

Nobel Laureate Professor Sir H. W. Kroto, the honorary chairman of this inaugural meeting, will deliver the Plenary Lecture.

Adhering to the long standing NANOSMAT traditions, this meeting will foster the gathering of high calibre, talented and intellectual people from both academia and industry in order to exchange ideas, information and technology. The event will provide a binding platform for interactions between researchers; scientists and engineers from industry, research laboratories and academia, and in doing so will feature state-of-the-art developments in all aspects of processing, characterisation and applications of nanomaterials, nanoscience and nanotechnology.

NANOSMAT-USA delegates will have complementary entry to the "TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION FORUM: NANOTECHNOLOGY", which will be held on 27 March 2012 at the University of South Florida. For more details click here
